Friday the 13th - our favorite day

Hello everyone, I’m Mrs Voorheis, an old friend of the Christies… and today is a special, special day. Today is Friday the 13th, a day that holds special significance for the Voorheis family… Paul and I got engaged on a Friday the 13th, and married on a Friday the 13th. But the most significant thing about Friday the 13th is our last name… Voorheis which is derived from the more common spelling Voorhees. For those of you who aren’t horror movie buffs (or have lived under a rock for the past 30 years) Voorhees is the surname of Jason and his mother Pamela, from the Friday the 13th movies. June 13 is actually the fictitious birth date of Jason Voorhees, as well as the date of the original movie.

Last night we finished the final recording sessions for Chaos & Hedonism, our new CD that will be out soon. Paul and I will be spending the next couple of weeks mixing and mastering the CD and then sending it off to be duplicated and getting it for sale on iTunes as well as a myriad of other places.
