  Once upon a time, when i was a manager for a large chain music store i had the pleasere of working with a guy named Damian R. Master (it's ever funnier if you say it outloud).  And Damian is probably the funniest human i have ever had the pleasure to hang out with.  One of his favorite sayings (at least the one i remember the most) was "choke a bitch" as in do your jobs or Damian's going to have to choke a bitch"  or "what's wrong paul... do you need Damian choke a bitch?"  I would assume that he picked this up from the Dave Chapelle show, but to be honest with Damian you could never be sure.  Anyway this phrase stuck with me through the years and one day when i was really into combichrist and working on a "dark house" tune this phrase popped into my head and helped me to complete the song. Hello everyone, I'm Mrs Voorheis, an old friend of the Christies... and today is a special, special day. Today is Friday the 13th, a day that holds special significance for the Voorheis family... Paul and I got engaged on a Friday the 13th, and married on a Friday the 13th. But the most significant thing about Friday the 13th is our last name... Voorheis which is derived from the more common spelling Voorhees. For those of you who aren't horror movie buffs (or have lived under a rock for the past 30 years) Voorhees is the surname of Jason and his mother Pamela, from the Friday the 13th movies. June 13 is actually the fictitious birth date of Jason Voorhees, as well as the date of the original movie. So this weekend Courtney and i were out at a bar and talking to some new people we had met and told them we were in a band, they of course asked the question that comes next: "What kind of music do you play?" We responded with "Industrial Sex Rock" and were met with curious but confused looks. In the course of explaining what that meant it occured to us that some people out there might have the same question. So here is the official circuitse7en take on industrial sex rock. Industrial sex rock is a blending of industrial music, modern rock with a healthy dose of sex fueled vocals. So what is Industrial music? Industrial music is a loose term for a number of different styles of experimental music, especially but not necessarily electronic music.
