It also just happens to be the platform that circuitse7en uses for this site. It's amazing flexibility makes it easy to set up any kind of site, from a simple blog about your cat to incredibly complex sites of any kind. Hello everyone, I'm Mrs Voorheis, an old friend of the Christies... and today is a special, special day. Today is Friday the 13th, a day that holds special significance for the Voorheis family... Paul and I got engaged on a Friday the 13th, and married on a Friday the 13th. But the most significant thing about Friday the 13th is our last name... Voorheis which is derived from the more common spelling Voorhees. For those of you who aren't horror movie buffs (or have lived under a rock for the past 30 years) Voorhees is the surname of Jason and his mother Pamela, from the Friday the 13th movies. June 13 is actually the fictitious birth date of Jason Voorhees, as well as the date of the original movie. Who is the Gitacult Orchestra?  Well, in addition to circuitse7en I also play bass and DJ for Christopher Freeman and he wanted to bill the group (also featuring Nate Winkelman on percussion) with a band name rather than just always using just his name, and the Gitacult Orchestra was born.  The album "The End of the Beginning" is basically a collection of remixes that i created based on Chris's "City of God" album, adding a bunch of electronics and morphing the songs into something more reminiscent of our live shows.  I thought i would share this with my circuitse7en readers because i think there is some amazing music contained on this CD and figured that a lot of you would like it.  You can listen to and purchase the physical CD here.  For those of you who prefer to use iTunes for all of your music it is available through the iTunes Store as well.   Let me know what you think :) -paulSHARETHIS.addEntry({ title: "The End of the Beginning", url: "http://www.circuitse7en.com/the-end-of-the-beginning/" });
